Curriculum Books

Current Practice: 
Print cost: $3000 is spent annually to replace and/or add new copies.


Paperless Practice:

Paperless cost: *$5 a book for 15 titles not in public domain = $550 (pass licensing on to future students).  8 books for each grade, but many books can be accessed for free via the Public Domain.
-Get immediate access
-lower cost (including sped budget (exit Kurzweil program)).
-highlighting and annotating
-built-in dictionary
-bookmarking tools
-access to internet while reading
-audio capability, 
-improves differentiation
